Kittens, cats and stuff

Well Bast and Loki went in today to be neutered and spayed and just came back. Still on pain killers but at the moment are fine. Hurray.

I was just reading Wil Wheaton's blog and read about one of his cats having to be put down because of kidney failure. Was really sorry to hear about it and felt really lucky that Bast and Loki are fine.

On a much less despressing note I found Arcane Times from a link on Wil's blog and it's really funny. So will be checking that from now on.

Another cool (but intentionally depressing) Web Comic site is Low Morale

Page 45's 10th Birthday

Last October was the 10th Aniversary of the best Comic shop in the entire world opening. But due to issues outside their control they didn't have a party until last Saturday (the 2nd of April)

Page 45 is a comic shop for people who don't necessarily read superhero comics, however they sell them too. They can describe themselves far better than I can so check out their web site and contact them if you want any sort of comics. They really are great. www.page45.com

The shop is based in Nottingham UK, and is owned and managed by Mark Simpson and Stephen L Holland. If you want to see what they look like when they are drunk check out these photos from the party. Flickr photos

Myself and Ness went up to Nottingham for the weekend and met up with Dan and Rich and sat in Bunker Hill upstair and got drunk and chatted about comics. One of the really cool things about whole evening was meeting other people who also shop at Page45 and realising how we didn't have any comics in common out of our reading list. This just showed how well Stephen and Mark do their job and what a wide range there is.

We all had a really cool time. Did I mention that we all got very drunk :)
